Movement Intelligence is moving forward in the UK!
Bones for Life
Two Bones for Life Teacher Training Courses (TTC) began in January 2019:
The participants in our Bones for Life TTC in London, conducted by Silvia Gray, successfully graduated in March 2020. Silvia also concluded a parallel TTC in Brazil.
The participants in our Bones for Life TTC in Bristol (and latterly on Zoom) conducted by Marye Wyvill, successfully graduated in October 2020.
Silvia’s Introduction to Walk for Life, via Zoom, will begin on September 6th 2021.
Walk For Life: for Health, Strength and Biological Optimism
Walking with poles can help secure equilibrium and revive
the arms’ primal function to serve as quadruped forelegs.
Transmitting forces from the stepping foot and from the arm
by thrusting the pole backwards activates the shoulder blades
and the vertebrae between them, restoring a forgotten
liveliness in the often stiff area of the upper back.
Mondays from 4 to 5pm: September 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th and October 4th, 2021 . Cost: £45 for 5 sessions or £10 per session.
Please confirm your attendance by contacting Silvia: firstname.lastname@example.org
Marye Wyvill is running a Bones for Life TTC from January 2021 to November 2022 in Newcastle upon Tyne and on Zoom whenever meeting physically is not possible. For further information, contact email@example.com
Feedback from graduates of Bristol TTC:
“Marye knows the subject deeply, and teaches with generosity and warmth.” F.D. Gloucestershire
“Marye translated the complexities of the manuals into graspable instructions and excellent videos. She thought out how, under Lockdown, we could continue to teach each other and have weekend sessions with her on Zoom. She gave us very detailed feedback on our work and encouraged us every step of the way. I learnt how to tune into my body and feel much more aware of how I use it and how to take care of it better. It is a demanding course; Marye ushered us through it all with loving care and attention.” E.S. Bristol
“Marye is easy to talk to and very supportive both in person and online, and her teaching style whilst delivering what at times could be quite a complex subject was done with clear guidance and humour.
I would highly recommend this course.” S.H. Devon
“I highly recommend the Bones For Life 2-year course, which I have recently completed. The experience has benefitted me on many levels, further enhancing my study of the human body, of how we can move through space safely and use our whole body in an integrated way. This has opened up new possibilities for my work , and the personal health benefits have been numerous. Marye is highly experienced and knowledgeable. She created fascinating, fun and supportive training weekends, with patience and compassion.” C.P. Devon
